HOPE Farm, located in Fort Worth, TX is a long-term leadership development program that guides at-risk boys, without the benefit of a positive male role model in their homes. Hope Farm focuses on boys from the time they are 5-7 years old until high school graduation and often, beyond. Since 1989, Hope Farm has served hundreds of at-risk boys and their mothers in Fort Worth, attempting to help break the cycle of fatherless families.
The Delta Mu Boulé Educational Foundation has been a significant partner of Hope Farm for several years mentoring students, providing scholarship opportunities for its graduates, and assisting with other program support services. In addition to co-sponsoring the 2023 Evening of Hope event, Delta Mu Boulé members participate each month in a series of —Pizza with a Professional— lunches at the school where a member of the Boulé shares information regarding their background, profession, and career advice. Tips on navigating the college application process is also shared during the session.
This year’s Evening of Hope event was held April 25th and featured renowned author and academician Dr. Michael Eric Dyson as keynote speaker. The Hope Farm Boys Choir were in attendance and entertained the audience prior to Dr. Dyson’s presentation. Delta Mu Boulé Educational Foundation Board members were in full force to hear Dr. Dyson’s message which was inspirational to both Hope Farm students, family members, and program sponsors. Dr. Dyson encouraged all attending to continue to be “instruments of revival and transformation in the lives of these young boys” and to “do all we can to uplift them with action and love.”
