Announcement of Generous Donation

Satori Capital

The Delta Mu Boulé Educational Foundation took another step toward achieving its goal of at least $100,000 in the coming year with a gift of $25,000 from Satori Capital, a Texas-based investment firm. The gift will be added to other funds raised by the our Foundation to support its scholarship and mentoring programs.

The request to the Satori Foundation was initiated by Archon Willie Houston, treasurer of the Delta Mu Boulé Foundation. Archon Houston is Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Satori Capital.

“The young men that our program targets really need our help,” he said. “I was once one of those men, and really could have benefitted from the mentorship and support that the Foundation provides. Sometimes all one needs is real life examples of what they can achieve to help them aim higher and work harder toward their goals. While the scholarships are important, I think the opportunity to be exposed to the successful leaders of Delta Mu is invaluable.”

Archon Houston said he hopes the donated funds will help to expand the impact that Delta Mu can have on the young men it serves. “Satori is excited to be a part of it,” he said.

To date, the Foundation has generated the bulk of its support from Satori Capital, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway and contributions from members of Delta Mu Boulé. It welcomes other partners in its quest to assist black male high school graduates.
